 The second week of the season finds the Scallywags 1-0-1.  The first game of the season the Scallywags had a convincing 4-1 win over  TUMFC. Nick Huber had 4 goals with assists from Frankie Mayfield, Mark Gendreau, and Micheal Borger. Josheph Borger had a solid game in goal while Ethan Peyton and JT Tilley played extremely well.

After a good week of practice the Scallywags faced their friends and fellow SCSA club members in a back and forth contested that ended in a 3-3 tie. Nick Huber had two goals while Frankie Mayfield had his first goal of the season.  Micheal Borger had two assists from the right wing as Evan Ruff and Micheal Breummer had solid efforts in the mid-field and defensively. Ryan Sullivan also played well as he saw his first action after breaking his arm.

Next weekend the Scallywags look to defend their title as Midfest Champions as they enter  the MidFest Soccer Classic.

The Scallywags learned alot about themselfs at the MidFest Soccer Classic as they were placed in the top bracket. They lost two hard fought contest and tied another.  Although disapointed they came out of the week end a much stronger team. 

Game three of the regular season the Scallywags faced a solid Tri-State FA squad.  with goals from Frankie Mayfield,Micheal Borger,Nick Huber, and JT Tilley the Scalleywags found their second win of the season in a 4-2 victory. Assists by Ryan Sullivan Mark Gendreau and Micheal Borger. Defensively Micheal Bruemmer Evan Ruff, and Ethan Peyton played extremely well.

Week four the Scalleywags traveled to play a night game vs the Cincinnati Fire Hawks.  The game was dominated by the Scallywags as they held possesion of the ball the majority of the game and lead in shots on goal..  Late in the second half a ball deflected by the Ref. lead to a tiing goal for the Firehawks. Not long after that Joe Borger made a great save but the lineman called it a goal.  We were robbed. Goals were made by Nick Huber, Ryan Sullivan, and Micheal Bruemmer.

On Oct. 11th the Scallywags traveled to play The CUSA Courage. Dominating play lead the Scallywags to their  3rd victory of the season. Kai Buendia had his best game of the season by starting the scoring for the Scallywags with two goals from the left wing on assists from Nick Huber and Micheal Borger. Nick also had a goal on a penalty shot after being triped in the box. Ryan Sullivan and Micheal Bruemmer added goals in the second half as the Joe Borger had his first shut out in goal. A great game for the entire team. Well done Scallywags.

Oct. 23rd-24th

The Scallywags had a great weekend as they took home the Championship of the 2010 Haunted Classic. With four convincing victories the Scallywags out scored their opponents 18-1, and had shutouts in all but one of their games. The entire team played as a whole and performed well both offensively as well as defensively. Every player contributed to the success of the weekend and all should be praised for their effort.
